In the Spring 2006 quarter, the Broadcast Design club, with backing from the BCST department, at the Savannah College of Art and Design decided to put on a juried end-of-year exhibition. Only the previous year had seen an end-of-year show, but it was more of an extended montage put together by a few faculty members shown out in the parking lot. As a new club, we had grander ambitions. We managed to pull in over 120 entries in six categories, and rounded up five judges working in the industry for companies like ESPN and Fuel Design to take part in our exhibition.
The show DVD started with tallying the results from the judges, creating the menu graphics, transitions, and cutting opening and category montages. When it was finally finished it included over 100 assets that I put together in DVD Studio Pro.
